Account creation and payment options

IVPN does not require an email address to open an account. Signing up generates an account ID, and that ID is the credential used to access and manage the subscription. No name, email, or billing profile linked to identifying information is required from IVPN's side at signup. Payment options listed on IVPN's website include credit card, PayPal, and cryptocurrency including Bitcoin and Monero. Cash by mail is also accepted. IVPN documents its data handling practices on its website, including what the service retains in connection with accounts and payments. The data retained depends in part on the payment method chosen, since payment processors handle their own records independently of what IVPN stores on its side.

Billing flexibility and refund

IVPN offers subscriptions by the week, month, or year. A one-week plan lets a subscriber use the paid service across a real billing period without committing to a full month. The per-week cost on the weekly plan is higher than the same period calculated from monthly or annual billing; IVPN's pricing page shows current rates across all billing terms. There is no free plan. A thirty-day refund window is available directly from IVPN, subject to its refund conditions as documented on its website. The minimum paid commitment, if no refund is requested, is one week.

Plan tiers and what each includes

IVPN Standard is the entry paid tier, supporting five simultaneous connections. Standard includes two features without requiring an upgrade: Multi-hop routing, which routes traffic through two servers in different countries before exit, and AntiTracker, IVPN's DNS-level filtering tool for blocking tracker and ad-serving domains. Both are included at Standard without additional cost. IVPN Plus also supports five connections and adds modDNS and Mailx on top of what Standard includes. Pro Suite raises the simultaneous connection allowance to ten devices and adds Portmaster to the feature set. Open-source apps, audits, and terms

IVPN publishes source code for its applications across supported platforms. Audit reports covering the apps and server infrastructure are available on IVPN's website, while the code is also available through its GitHub repositories. The public terms page is dated January 21, 2021. It sets account and acceptable-use conditions but does not display a later revision date. That older publication date is a clear documentation caveat even though the product pages, application code, and audit library have continued to change. The dated terms page and the more recently maintained technical materials therefore belong to different parts of IVPN's public documentation. Standard and Plus each allow five simultaneous devices. Pro Suite raises that allowance to ten and adds Portmaster, while weekly, monthly, and annual billing remain available.
