RedTube is one of those tubes that makes you wonder why it still exists as a separate entity. Owned by Aylo (formerly MindGeek) alongside PornHub, YouPorn, and most of the other major tubes, RedTube is essentially PornHub with a red color scheme and a smaller library. It's perfectly functional, completely reliable, and utterly unremarkable. The pornographic equivalent of white bread.

Let's be clear about what RedTube is: it's a competent tube site built on solid technology. The video player works well, streaming is reliable, and the interface is clean if uninspired. Everything you'd expect from a tube owned by the company that basically runs the free porn industry. Search functions properly, categories cover the bases, and mobile experience is decent. No major complaints about the technical execution.

The library, however, is where RedTube falls behind. It's smaller than PornHub by a significant margin, with less variety and fewer uploads. Since both sites are owned by the same company and share the same technology stack, there's no compelling reason to choose RedTube over its bigger sibling. It's like choosing the off-brand cereal when the name brand costs the same and tastes better.

Content quality is reasonable — you'll find the usual mix of professional content, amateur uploads, and everything in between. HD options exist for many videos. The category system works. Pornstar pages exist. It's all... fine. Functional. Perfectly adequate for watching porn. But 'adequate' isn't exactly a ringing endorsement when PornHub exists.

The ad situation is about what you'd expect from an Aylo property — banner ads, occasional premium upsells, nothing too aggressive. Better than the popup nightmare on smaller tubes, not as clean as it could be. Standard fare for free porn.

So why does RedTube still exist? Brand diversification, mainly. Some people know RedTube and don't know PornHub, or prefer it for whatever personal reason. Having multiple properties in the top search results for 'free porn' is good business for Aylo. From a user perspective, though, RedTube is redundant.

Who should use RedTube? People who already use it and are comfortable with it. Users in regions where PornHub might be blocked but RedTube isn't. Anyone who just prefers red to orange for completely arbitrary reasons. If you're choosing a tube for the first time, there's no reason to start here over PornHub.

Bottom line: RedTube does nothing wrong and nothing special. It's a perfectly serviceable porn tube that exists in the shadow of its parent company's flagship property. If you stumble onto it, you'll have a fine experience. But if you're actively choosing a tube, PornHub offers the same technology with more content. Sometimes being merely adequate isn't enough to stand out.
