The direct site showed no term-length discount structure: adding more months to the account at once did not reduce the per-month cost. App Store and reseller pricing may differ from the mullvad.net direct rate, and Mullvad's terms explicitly acknowledge that third-party channels may charge differently. A fourteen-day money-back guarantee is available on direct purchases. That window explicitly excludes cash and cryptocurrency payments. Mullvad accepts and promotes both as payment methods for subscribers who prefer minimal transaction linkage, so the refund exclusion applies to anyone who used those methods and subsequently changes their mind within the fourteen-day window. Account creation and payment options

Mullvad account creation asks for no email address, no name, and no billing address. The signup process generates a random account number, and that number is the only credential used to access and manage the subscription thereafter. Payment options listed on the Mullvad website include credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Swish, and cryptocurrency. Cash by mail is also accepted. Mullvad documents its data handling practices on its website, including what it retains in connection with account management and payment processing. The account number is the sole identifier from Mullvad's side; payment methods may generate their own records outside Mullvad's systems depending on which option is used.
