xHamster Review
👍 Pros
👎 Cons
xHamster sits comfortably in the top 5 biggest porn tubes and has been there for over a decade. What sets it apart from PornHub and XVideos is the community angle — xHamster feels less like a media library and more like a social network where everyone happens to be horny.
The content library is enormous with a heavy lean toward amateur and user-uploaded content. This is where xHamster really shines — if you want genuine homemade porn from real couples, solo performers, and people who just like being watched, xHamster has more of it than any other major tube. Professional content is here too, but the amateur stuff is the real draw.
User profiles are a big deal here. People upload their own content, maintain galleries, write blog posts, and interact with each other through comments and messages. There's a dating/hookup section that... exists. Whether it works is another question entirely. But the community features mean you can follow specific uploaders and build a feed of content from people you actually like.
The downside? Ads. xHamster's ad situation is aggressive — expect popups, redirect attempts, and banner ads that animate like they're trying to escape the page. An ad blocker is strongly recommended. Video quality also varies wildly since so much content is user-uploaded. You'll scroll past some genuinely terrible quality to find the gems.
The categories are solid, search works decently, and the site runs fine on mobile despite the ad assault. If you're primarily into amateur content and want that social/community feel, xHamster is hard to beat. If you want polished studio content, PornHub or SpankBang are better bets.
