Nuvid Review
👍 Pros
👎 Cons
Nuvid has been around since 2011, and over those years its members built up an enormous library of free porn. Today it works best as an archive: the catalog hasn't been growing with new videos for some time, but what's there is vast, well organized and easier to search than you might expect from its age.
Search that actually narrows things down
Nuvid's advanced search is its best feature. You can filter by rating, with thresholds of 95, 80 or 60 percent, by length in three bands from short clips to videos over 40 minutes, and by when a video was added. An All, HD and 4K switch cuts out older low-resolution uploads, and sorting by trending, newest or top rated covers the rest.
Around 100 straight categories, separate gay and trans sections and a pornstar index give you plenty of other ways in. There are photo albums and erotic stories too, for when you want something other than video.
A player that handles high resolution
Videos play in Nuvid's own adaptive player, with quality reaching 2160p on 4K uploads. Many videos list download options, though some of them sit behind a premium upgrade. Uploader names appear on videos, and the comments and ratings from years of community activity are still there to browse.
An archive, not a feed
Because new videos aren't arriving, Nuvid isn't the place to check for what's fresh. Its value is the depth of what's already there, and the filters make that depth usable: setting HD or 4K with a minimum rating is the quickest way past the older, grainier uploads that still show up in the trending list.
Ads and age
The design is dated, and advertising fills the gaps: an ad slot over the player, a live cam widget, dating and premium links in the menu and, on phones, a large native ad above the videos. There are no pop-ups, and the separate mobile site works well apart from that ad. Pages take a few seconds to load on desktop.
Our rating
Nuvid earns 3.4 out of 5. Its advanced filters, 4K player and sheer size make it a useful archive to dig through, with gay and trans sections, photos and stories alongside. The score reflects a catalog that is no longer being updated, a dated design and ad clutter, especially on phones.
