Secrets.ai is built for people who want an AI companion that remembers. Its memory tools are the center of the experience, so the story you build with a character carries forward, and you can even rewind a conversation and take it somewhere else.
Around that memory sits a wide set of formats: realistic and anime companions, image generation and editing, several video styles, voice calls, group chats and short interactive dramas. Secrets.ai is run by Secret Labs Inc., launched in late 2024, and works in the browser. Every companion is fictional and AI-generated, so there are no real people behind the faces.
Memory is the main attraction
Secrets.ai gives you real tools to manage what your companion knows. Memory tiers decide how much carries over, and Lorebooks let you write down the world, relationships and history you want a character to keep in mind. Time Travel rewinds a chat to an earlier point, so a scene that went sideways can be replayed instead of abandoned.
On the higher plan, companions can message you first, group chats bring two or three characters into one conversation, and personas let you shape who you are in the story. The cumulative effect is roleplay that feels continuous, which is exactly what long-term users tend to praise.
Pictures, video and calls
Images and edits are generated inside the chat, and video comes in several styles, from basic clips to more cinematic ones. Voice calls round it out. You can't upload photos; every image starts from the platform's own generator, which also keeps real people out of it.
All of that runs on Moments, the site's credits, and the costs are published openly. An image costs 50 Moments, a minute of calling costs 50, and a five-second video costs between 320 and 1,200 depending on the style. Prompts that are blocked before generation aren't charged. Image accuracy is the most common complaint, so expect the occasional picture that doesn't match the scene.
What it costs
The free tier is a demo: 20 messages a day, with no images, video or calls. Premium is $19.99 a month or $109.99 billed upfront for a year, with unlimited messages and 8,000 Moments a month. Ultimate is $39.99 a month or $319.99 a year and adds 15,000 Moments, the strongest memory, proactive messages, personas and group chats. Monthly Moments reset rather than roll over, while purchased top-ups never expire.
Ignore the countdown banners and percentage-off claims in the store; the prices above are the regular ones. Plans renew automatically and can be cancelled in your account settings. Moment purchases are final, crypto payments are non-refundable, and EU and UK customers get a 14-day withdrawal right on their first purchase. Charges show as S LABS INC.
Rules and safety
Secrets.ai bans minors and characters that look young whatever their stated age, as well as real people, deepfakes and non-consent, and blocked requests are clearly flagged in the app. Character ages start at 18.

The deductions: the free tier is too thin to judge the product properly, the most interesting features sit on the $39.99 Ultimate plan, video spends Moments quickly, and image accuracy can be hit or miss. For story-driven roleplay with a companion who keeps up, it's an easy one to recommend.
